We are all living longer. What does this mean for the way we view our careers?
About Emma Birchall
Birchall is head of insights and forecasting at Hot Spots Movement. She works with clients to anticipate the trends affecting the future of work and how they will need to adapt their working practices.
In a speech titled ‘What does it mean to live to 100 years of age?’, Birchall explored the effects longer lives will have on careers and organisations.
She argued that we will have to reframe the way we view our progression from education, to work and then retirement. Birchall also made the case for being open to experimentation and re-invention later in our careers.
This video is taken from Changeboard’s Future Talent Conference in 2018.
