Future TalentEd was launched in October 2018 with a free welcome event for careers leaders, headteachers and other leaders in education. Held at the Royal Geographical Society in London, ‘Future Talent LIVE: Leadership & Skills for the Future’ featured TED-style keynotes and panel discussions providing insights into future skills needs, routes into work, leadership development and mental health and wellbeing for students and staff.
Our high-profile speakers included education consultant Jane Delfino MBE, former rugby union player and coach Sir Clive Woodward OBE, British journalist, broadcaster and political aide Alastair Campbell and author Margaret Heffernan. The event was supported by the Careers & Enterprise Company, ASCL & STEM Learning.
We work with a range of influential organisations to run half-day events for career leaders providing practical guidance and thought leadership.
In July 2019, we partnered with the Institute of Student Employers (ISE) to co-create a unique (free) afternoon event in Manchester, bringing together educators and employers to consider the theme of employability. The agenda showcased the insights and perspectives of inspiring thought leaders and speakers from vocational and higher education, business, society, broadcasting and sport.
Delegates gained practical guidance around meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks; engaging with employers to provide meaningful encounters for students; building soft skills to enhance young people’s employability, and providing equal opportunities for all students.
